Sherdog should do a tally of fighters who have succeeded/failed in moving up or down a weightclass. Especially with Pettis moving back up to 155 and Chiesa going to 170. Ufc 226 was important here

Ex:Whittaker, Dan Hooker, Gastelum, DC, the Notorious compared to Jeremy Stephens, Tony Ferguson, Sergio Pettis
I can't wait to see how Romero does at 205, he could ko Gus that would be great

These would be some interesting stats.

Rumble going from 170 to 205 is a great example of a good move.

Whittaker who got melted by wonderman in 170 took romero's hardest shots and didnt go out , the ones who move up get more praise for sure

Kenflo lost a title shot in every weight division.

Seemed like it anyway.

Read this in an old bloodyelbow.com article. Looks like changing weight classes doesn't change much.

"Out of the 107 fighters that made permanent weight class changes, 90 fighters made the change to a lower weight class while 17 moved up in weight. The statistics also showed that moving up in weight and moving down in weight resulted in a similar winning percentage, 52.38% for up and 52.16% for down. The winning percentage of fighters before a weight class change was 57.1%."

Fighters who moved down in weight and won a title: Bisping, Couture, DC
Fighters who moved up in weight and won a title: Penn, McGregor, GSP, Whitaker, Couture, DC

I'm probably missing some, hard to keep track of the lower weight divisions
