This was very Spicer-esque

Mississippi state Rep. Karl Oliver:
"If the, and I use this term extremely loosely, "leadership" of Louisiana wishes to, in a Nazi-ish fashion, burn books or destroy historical monuments of OUR HISTORY, they should be LYNCHED!"

Most of the New Orleans City Council, which backed the plan to take down the monuments 6-1, is black — so Oliver’s call for a lynching was directed against at least some black lawmakers.

Whoops! Only the highest human qualities displayed by the South....

He later apologised for the lynching comment, saying:
"I acknowledge the word “lynched” was wrong. I am very sorry. It is in no way, ever, an appropriate term. I deeply regret that I chose this word, and I do not condone the actions I referenced, nor do I believe them in my heart"

He should have just doubled down and demanded the majority black New Orleans council were tied to a tree and flogged prior to the lynching. After all, how DARE they take down the monuments glorifying traitors (who nearly destroyed the country over the fact that they wanted to continue committing crimes against humanity for their own leisure...)

BUT BUT BUT BUT MUH HERITAGE!!!!

New Orleans mayor sums up this issue well.

In b4 someone calls this guy a cuck... and judging by who is viewing this thread at the moment, I can already see them foaming at the mouth to do so

One of the better speeches I've heard in some time. How do you explain to a young black child that the man in the statute fought to try to keep her family slaves? I'd be happy to here someone with a differing opinion offer suggestions in a way that a 3rd grader would understand.

Clearly the south was not punished enough the first time. We need more of Shermans march to the sea type actions.
If we have another it will be progressivism vs conservatism at the root of the conflict.

LOL. Instant self-pwn. It's too good.
