I say it was a mixture of just being Serra’s night and GSP wasn’t prepared for Serra’s weird striking style. There are a lot of punches that Serra throws that are from weird angles (like around his waistline) that could catch fighters off guard. GSP was well prepared in their second fight and dominated. I wouldn’t say fluke, but definitely not the norm.
There wasn't much action before the punch that hurt GSP, but Serra was definitely not winning up to that point. What a strange lie to tell. Serra beat him pretty badly, why make up more to the story that's easily disprovable? I just don't get it
