News Makhmud Muradov released by UFC

Damn. He was the only Mayweather MMA guy in the ufc
 
Akhmed Virt probably declined a few times behind the scenes. He is halfway out the door anyways. He is some sort of minor celebrity in his country. He has his own fight promotion and he manages some guys. .
 
Muradov is a disgusting pullout merchant who ought to have no place in MMA.

Well deserved. U dont pull out of fight and straight after start adding new photos from sparrings and gym.

Personally used to like him, but he acts like a chameleon. - He lives for 10+ years in Czech and is product of Czech MMA. Thats also why he represented Czech Republic...but then Uzbekistan offered him national mma coach job. And what Makhmud did next? - " I cannot represent Czech Republic anymore...UFC prohibited me from walking out with Czech flag" - In reality UFC did not care...
 
I always found Muradov a weird one, no idea why Mayweather chose a random Uzebek guy to be his man in MMA. He was also a very average MW, and a massive pullout merchant so not surprised by this.

THIS will be the reason he was cut. Repeatedly declining new fight offers and a past histrory of pulling out of fights for various reasons (most will not have much validity).

UFC sending message to all it's contracted fighters "When we offer you a fight we'd really like you to say "yes" and we really hate it when you pull out of a fight you've agreed to so do either of those too often and you will be cut".

I don't think so.
When he left Uzbekistan, he was nobody.
Now he has a contact to the President of Uzbekistan ( he's a friend of his son or the president himself, I don't remember).
He was given a plot of land to build a large MMA center in Uzbekistan.
He owns some MMA organization and joined the army.
He's got a lot going on.

I think he's been focusing on things other than fighting lately.

This should be a lesson for casuals, being an -ev -ov makes you pullouts of fights but it doesn't make you a good fighter

I think if he wins the Meerschaert fight, things would have went very differently.
I just hope Khizriev gets a new fight soon, the guy is good and would be a waste if he fights only once per year.
 
Sounds like he's making more being a "UFC fighter" and has invested and cashed in on it well in his country. Kinda sucks though he was entertaining
