This could end up being an awesome grappling match or a horrible kickboxing match.

    What do you think?

Usman vs Maia will look like Woodley vs Maia except Usman will actually come forward, engage, and land strikes.

Then hopefully Woodley sees why (some) people don't want to pay for his fights..

Don't think Maia will be able to take this guy down and he'll get pieced up on the feet.

    Hoping Maia wins though, personally.

Well we are going to find out how much Usman believes in his grappling.

It'll probably look more like Maia vs Covington.

Maia was a PUZZLE until Woodley exposed a good gameplan. Lets not forget that Greg Jackson's strategy for Condit was to land elbows from the guard

Luckily for Ferguson he got TKOed by a cable, or else he would've faced the same fate as Carlos

Not gonna be a grappling match
It'll be like the last time Usman fought a BJJ specialist

Pretty much this, but I'd love to see Maia pull out a ridiculous upset. Either way, massive props to Maia for taking the fight when nobody else would.

Lol, that guy wishes he could take MMA striking classes under Maia. Comparing Moraes to Maia is silly.

But seriously dude, Moraes is nobody. Maia has been top ten across two divisions for about a decade. Comparing the two fighters is silly.

BJJ wise they're not too far apart. Moraes has two in competition wins over Kron Gracie. His striking is ugly as hell but surprisingly effective.

This is MMA, and they're miles apart in MMA.

Maia unable to take Usman down, outstriking him early, then gassing and getting beaten up. That's the way I see it going, which is sad because I really like Maia. Unfortunately his best days are way behind him.
