Jules life was saved by divine intervention, and that to me is the most notable aspect of any of his movies. As it is the only supernatural thing that ever occurs in any of them, as far as I know.
It seems to me the most underrated and overseen detail, for all of the scrutinizing and unearthing that people conduct in his films.
It took me 10 years to notice because at first I just accepted the mystery as an unknowable open to interpretation. But then someone here presented the question, who do you agree with? Jules or Vincent? When I went back to that scene and investigated frame by frame I saw what truly happened. Jules was the one that got shot at and the bullets went right through him.

The other unspoken detail that I like is how Cliff Booth smoked a joint laced with PCP.
