He seems so relaxed compared to Conor's stressed out appearance as well.

Edit: Sorry embed fixed

It's hard not to feel Khabib is going to absolutely run through McGregor hearing his mindset and game plan and make this look laughably easy.

Obviously, most of us felt this way anyway.

To save everyone some trouble – this is the same (true) quote everyone's heard a thousand times.

Embed Fixed,

it's hard not to feel Khabib is going to run through McGregor hearing his mindset and game plan.

I felt the same way about Aldo when Conor grabbed his belt at the press conference.

So his game plan is to do what he does in every single fight against Conor and his team? Lol. This dude is getting slept. Hes one dimensional and proud of it.

Actually he specifically said he was going to fight differently and he detailed how.

You obviously didn't watch the video.

Conor is going to pull out at the last minute and fight Mayweather.

The sad part if he's too pig headed. When you have stubborn fighters like this is may not end well for them. Don't think he's stubborn? Khabib said he was done with the weight cut and his team told him to keep trying but Khabib had already made up his mind so quit. You can't reason with people like that.

He better have another plan because every fighter knows about Conor's left. Conor trained with Danis and wrestlers for Nate 2 and Eddie. He's been training with wrestlers repeatedly since the beginning of the year. It won't be as simplistic as he thinks.

Yes the fighter that never pulls out and always shows up is going to be the one to pull out...not the fighter that has a track record of pulling out. You haters just don't think.

Khabib trains with the best gameplanning gym in MMA. Conor has one predictable weapon for them to gameplan around. Khabib will make this look laughably easy.

Every other idiot Conor has faced has thought it was a good idea to trade with him because they were all strikers, other than Mendes who had Conor on his back for 6 of the 9.5 minutes he fought him.

The weight cut is a terrible example. It was probably torturous.

Best game-planning gym...

I can tell by the smart game plans Rockhold has employed against heavy hitters over the years.

DC has hardly required strong game plans either. It's his conditioning, tough chin, and well-roundedness that has won him fights.

Mendes had Conor on his back because 1. He actually offers a threat standing. 2. He's quick as fuck. 3. Is one of the best in MMA from transitioning wrestling to MMA wrestling. 4. Conor went into the fight with zero grappling training. 5. Tore his MCL 2 weeks prior to the fight.

Now Khabib may have better wrestling than Mendes but he isn't as quick and doesn't have knockout power so Khabib is offering 1 thing. This isn't 2005. You need to be more well rounded than that. Khabib has fought 1 top 5 guy - a striker whose major weapon is kicking = easier to crowd and pressure a fighter that needs room to move.

Khabib needs to close the distance first. Ask Eddie how well that worked for him...

It is but Khabib's stubbornness is for all to see. He's not the type to not get his way. A perfect example of that is the tantrum he chucked when losing in Sambo. He dropped to the ground like a baby and his opponent had to pick him up. He's familiar with yes men.

I dont agree or disagree with what you're saying cause i dont really care, you're weight cut example is rubbish thats all.

Mendes had Conor on his back because he's the only wrestler Conor has ever faced. Who are you trying to kid?

Khabib would absolutely handle Mendes, and Conor on the same night. You're comparing a FW to a guy who manhandles Rockhold and is said to feel like a LHW/HW to those who have been underneath him.

He has way more of a diverse range of td's than Mendes and a single to close the distance which is superior against Conor's wide sprawling stance than a power double.

Khabib also has vastly superior top control. Conor won't be let up. He's nearly defenseless off his back. Khabib will eat him alive.

Kebab has been fed bums his entire career, will be sweet watching him get KOd stiff by a real thorough bred alpha male. War Conor
Conor has been fed midgets and strikers in his entire career.

The only times he wasn't were against Nate (non midget) and Mendes (wrestler) and the only reason he took those unfavorable matchups is because they had no training camps and were last minute fill ins. Both of them gave him fits. Wake up and smell the roses.

27-0

Mendes an inflated BW, Khabib a LW/WW - well yes I'd assume he would be able to beat Mendes.

You're too emotionally invested bud, jog on. I'm tired of discussing this sort of stuff with posters that can't factor in all the variables. Same shit was said for Nate 2, mendes, aldo, eddie....same shit different fight. In a couple of months you'll be saying the same thing but swapping khabib for Fergie.
Khabib is the favorite for a reason. GSP picked Khabib against Conor, the same guy that picked Conor over Diaz 2 and Alvarez. Not because he's emotionally invested, but because, being the GOAT, he understands how easy it is to nullify a single weapon (left hand) if you can actually wrestle.

It isn't at all. Stubborn fighters are poor at cutting weight. Once their mind is made up it's over. Bobby Southworth is the perfect example. If it was rubbish he wouldn't have missed weight multiple times. Other fighters get it done and put the trust in their teams e.g Conor vs. Mendes - despite the knee injury he still make the cut.

Khabib does the same thing in every fight. He's incredibly predictable, one dimensional and has no footwork. Reminds me of Ronda until she faced a legit striker.
