I think Machida was the last one... Glover comes close, but he got to the UFC kinda late.

You have guys like Barroso and Frankenstein, but they are not elite...

Lil Nog always plagued with injuries...

Damn, i miss those ChuteBoxe guys: Wand, Ninja and Shogun :)

Brazil still producing great MWs and HWs though... But missing the LHWs :(

Paulo Costa could be the next Great Brazilian LHW, but he decided that he’d rather cut 40 pounds.

Thankfully, Shogun is poised to make his 15th comeback for the belt.

Right, OP?

Wait till Erick Silva hits puberty and fills out. That kid is the future

To be fair, Wanderlei and Shogun have really been the only long standing Brazilian LHW greats.

There have been other quality Brazilian LHWs during that stretch. They just didn't get all time great status.

Wagner Prado will come back someday

Because all the poor underclass who become cage fighters have indio blood. Thats why you still see beasts like RDA, Aldo and Linecker but Wanderleis are rare.

USADA has been the thorn in the Brazilian LHW butt.
