Is the UFC No Longer Interested in Hiring The World's Greatest MMA Fighters?

Top talent was much more divided when Pride and even SF were around. Look at BT and Rizin for examples of replacements for those huge orgs, while ONE is a lesser version of Shooto from back then.

Somebody complaining and telling the world they are losing interest in the UFC again. A timeless classic that one.

UFC is not catering to the knowledgeable long time MMA fans anymore, they are catering mostly to the MTV and house mom crowd. Its a low level product these days and its only getting worse and worse and worse.

The fact that they didn't outbid Cage Warriors to get ahold of Paddy Pimblet for the Livetpool card is disgusting.
Or why have'nt they signed Andre Harrison and why the fuck was Ben Askren not even offered a contract?
To be fair.. Paddy Pimblett is horrible.

UFC still have the best talent. But divisions like LHW need a lot of work ASAP because the gap with other orgs is getting really small.

Timeless classics are repeated over and over again because they're on a lot of people's minds, and they always bring on lively discussions. That's partly what makes them timeless classics.

No one cares for your opinion. The UFC is great featuring 99% of the worlds best mma fighters. The fight cards this year and years before have been top notch.
I want a french bulldog. Are they worth it?

They could use some more... But it is all about selling the PPV. That's why we have Punk and not Askren...

Hear this a lot and I agree to some extent. PPVs are down for the most part, except for those REALLY STACKED cards which a crap load of casuals come out of the woodwork for. PPV numbers were way more five to seven years ago without all the BS and the UFC putting on the best fights, without worrying as much about a popularity contest.

So I ask, why does it have to be Askren or CM Punk? Why can't we have both? Put Ben on a solid card of great fights without the big name power, the die hard fans who know would buy it. Sure that would bring in way more than the 200-300k weak ass PPVs put on now.

I'm sure that solid fights on an entire PPV without having that one big star on it would generate a good number of sales from the REAL fans. The UFC used to do this and it worked , it was also how they grew the company.

They can't be about having the best if they let good guys go for guys who go 0-2 in the org that nobody's ever heard of

It seems that way at times. Like putting guys from Dana’s little show on main cards. Or hyping loud mouths. It’s still the only organization I follow so I guess I’ll just deal with it...

That is factually incorrect, I actually already ran the stats on this:

put the Usman fights on guy-guy section of Pornhub. I have no interest in seeing two dudes rub on another for 15 let alone 25 minutes.
At the end of the day its all about the money

UFC would be doing themselves a favor if they cut guys Kamaru Usman, boring yet highly skilled fighters like that are bad for business

99%? No.

79%? Maybe.
