Is it just me or does Werdum win easily?

Upon Werdum-Reem III being announced, my immediate thought was "well shit, Reem is gonna get embarrassed one way or another."

But the talk on here has been incredibly surprising. I see that a large majority are picking Overeem by easy win. I personally see Werdum either catching Overeem on the feet or winning a decision. Overeem's most potent skill is losing fights in which he has the on-paper advantages. Of course, the more technical striker in Reem could blast Werdum to sleep, but I really just see a careful Werdum picking his shots.

Is it just me? I'll gladly bump if I'm wrong, but Werdum should win handily. ALSO, don't even bring the second fight into discussion, Overeem was a genetically engineered freak.
Huge fan of both guys, unfortunate that one will have to lose.

Werdum does not win this though, and the fact that you think Werdum catches him and puts him out on the feet cracks me up.

Who the fuck knows. If Werdum goes on another monkey run around the octagon with his fucking hands down by his knees then he'll get flattened again or they could just stare at each other for 15 minutes interrupted by Werdum occasionally laying down like the last POS fight they had. Who knows.

@Drake I found a picture of you

I've swung back and forward on this fight and landed on 'as long as it's a lot better than their last fight i don't give a shit'

I think Overeem is a bad style matchup for Werdum, but his stamina is still a question. Reem cant go 5 rounds like Werdum, somebody is getting finished.

I didn't think it was possible to work on your chin. Then I saw Mark hands of steel Hunt blast 'Reem in the face a few times, and he took it. If 'Reem does have some magic way he reinforced his chin after the Stipe fight, look out. If he is still the same guy 'Doom has every chance to win and this is a pick em fight.

Reem has good TDD, is an
Animal in the clinch and has much more power and better striking than Werdum.

As long as Reem stays technical I think he wins a lopsided decision or more likely TKOs Werdum

Like I said, I'll bump if I'm wrong

It's all good. Bump it if you're right too. You'd have called that shit.

I just don't think Werdum is in it, anymore. He'll probably get KO'd, imo. Fight 2 he wanted no part of Overeem's stand up at all. He's gotten much better at striking over the years, but he is no Overeem. He is going to get hit hard.

This is a hard fight to call, I am unsure. Overeem looked good in his last fight against Hunt. Werdum was ok against Browne but he should have finished him I think. Werdum is old and slow.. I wouldn't be so sure he will 100% win. its a hard fight to call.

The problem with Overeem is he is a very hot and cold fighter, sometimes he looks like a killer and then next fight he looks so lackluster.

Depends which Werdum shows up, the one that beat Cain or the one that lost to Stipe.

Why do you think Werdum isn't in it? He literally just embarrassed Browne AND Edmond lol. He really won that fight while barely breaking a sweat

If Werdum doesn't fight like a wuss and actually embrace the exchanges, he'll probably finish Overeem. But he's not that type of fighter even though he is actually somewhat durable.

Travis Browne doesn't need Werdum to embarrass him. He's won two fights in the last four years.

I love Werdum, but barring a miracle KO, I just don't see him winning.
