Is fapping to pronz really that bad? Are millenials proving this?

Is fapping to porn really all that bad? Im well aware of the whole no-fap movement ( which i think is monumentally stupid) but the whole thing that sparked it off was that site yourbrainonporn.com that talked about reward pathways in the brain being rewired and something about dopamine receptors being desensitized ect. In the beginning i thought it was a pretty reasonable theory but i didn't really give it too much thought and sort of brushed it off. Well fast foward a few years and now im hearing all about how millennials are having a whole lot less sex than previous generations despite what people may believe about them being "worse" than the others and it got me thinking about it again.

There are some observations i have made that are leading me to believe that there might be some merit to all of this after all.

I recently went out to a club with my younger cousin (20 years old) and thought it was a perfect opportunity to get back into the swing of things since i broke up with my GF of 2 years not too long ago. He was the perfect guy to go out with. Good looking, younger, has tons of friends and is a seasoned club hopper always updating his Instagram with alcohol laden pictures and girls in arms. We all know the type right? What could go wrong? Well to my surprise it was me dragging him all over the place and basically having to hold his hand as i opened up conversations with girls. It was the same story, he would trail behind me, i would instigate and he wouldn't say a word until i introduced him and even then he would just shoot off one word responses. He was absolutely crippled with fear, personally i was shocked. We had a conversation about it later and apparently most of his friends are exactly the same way. We are talking about the guys who were the popular kids in high school. Im not sure about you guys but when i was in high school, the popular kids got laid. Now a days that doesn't seem to be the case. I asked him if his friends got laid frequently and he said most of them are virgins......my jaw dropped to the floor.

Second, i recently banged a pretty hot 20 year old and after we finished up we just kinda laid in bed talking about what ever. Im not sure how it came up but we talked about our "kill count" which seems to be more popular with younger people than older. Basically she revealed that she had only been with 2 people (INCLUDING ME!) and the last time was two years ago when she was 18 and he was 25. Does this sound normal to you guys? I mean sure she could be lying, but for real? No younger guys are hitting that? I lost my virginity at like 14 and many people that i grew up with did around that age too. I pryed a little more and asked her about her friends "patterns". She said most of the girls in high school and college are either virgins or are banging dudes way older than themselves because the guys are basically nerds who are unwilling to approach or are too busy playing video games (sounds like my cousin doesnt it?).

Im starting to think we might have a serious problem on our hands here. Maybe im looking in the wrong spots but i have a feeling internet porn MIGHT have something to do with this. What do you guys think?

Cliffs/TLDR:
-Young people are becoming socially inept
-They aren't having sex
-Older men capitalize!
-is internet pronz to blame?
 
Why have sex when you can just turn on your computer

Agreed but is it an actual, tangible problem that we know of?

Does anyone know if there have been any scientific studies that have come out recently that may prove this?

When I started fapping back in the day I'd only do it to white girls. Now, over 20 years of fapping, I've been doing it to black girls, asian girls, latina girls, trannies ... and I have a strict 2 black dude minimum on every scene I watch. Fapping taught me acceptance
 
I think the younger people now are defiantly having less sex, but I think what their shooting for is a relationship w/sex off the same girl or guy rather than sex in general with different guys/girls. I defiantly don't see a popular girl with high social status having sex with a dude of low social staus or vice versa. I guess getting in a relationship with someone with the same values is easier than going out all the time trying to find sex with someone with different values.
 
It possible that many of these millenials just have low self esteem, and are shy. Porn may be like a bandage as opposed to the knife.

If prostitution or rape is legal, and then people were still watching more porn instead of indulging in that industry or just raping people, then I say you can definitely say porn is the problem.

I don't think guys are turning down girls to stay home and watch porn. I think what happens is you get so used to doing it on your off time that when you wind up hanging out with your girlfriend, you really don't get the urge to bang as much as you should because your brain is getting wired to just sit there and watch porn without having to do much work to "reproduce".

Back in the day guys watched porn but probably 1/10th the amount because you had to go out and buy the shit...which was work and money. You got tired of it because you wound up watching the same 10 or 20 scenes or pictures all the time. These days you have millions of videos at your disposal at the click of a mouse. Your brain wants to accomplish the most possible while doing the least amount possible and porn does exactly that. It's kind of like your body craving sugar. A ton of calories with little effort is exactly what it wants.

I assume you guys are a bit older so i can understand how you find this unbelievable but you need to understand that these millennial's are not having sex. This is not outside the realm of possibility. Perhaps within your age bracket, at the same age it would have been laughable but now? I don't know man.

I thought social retardation was just something a lot of people go through when they're young.

I believe like most other things it comes down to parenting.

With the younger generation that I've talked to about it, never got the sex talk with their parents. Never got taught how to talk to a woman by their father.

And on the subject of porn, if they're watching a significant amount in their teens, that's bad parenting too.

Actually she asked me, i did not ask her. Your post is the exact reason i tend not to. But again you are making the same mistake not differentiating between these girls and other girls. My dude, i have been around the block a few times myself, and i get what you are saying i do, but from one gentleman to another, the way she moved her hips did not imply she had a wealth of experience backing her. Also the fact that she does not perform the act of fellatio is another sign.
 
I think it can desensitize people. I think it's important to be able to get off on your own without it but it's fine to enjoy on occasion.
