I have come to the conclusion that all i really want out of a phone is the ability to text, call, email, use google maps, and look at porn in a case of an emergency. I'll be fine with my iPhone SE until it gets annoyingly laggy.

Have fun starring at your phone to unlock it. I had the Note 7 and the iris scanner worked very very well but it was annoying as shit to use because you have to hold the phone up to your face. No pulling your phone out of your pocket and unlocking at the same time or unlocking your phone while it's on your desk. They couldn't pull off the finger print reader under the screen in time so you get this instead, no thanks.

yeah face scanner seems like a weird upgrade.

Everything I could possibly want out of a phone is at my disposal so I don't get the smartphone release hype/craze.

I got the 8 instead. Ultimately it came down to the fact that the X largely shared a lot of the same internals as the 8 and I wasn't sold on FaceID. Add on the price and I said fuck it and got the 8 since my current phone was pretty much on it's last legs. The X is also bigger than the 8 and I hate the idea of using a big phone in public. If the X was the same size as the 8 i'd probably would have gotten it.

Lol. I pretty much came to the same conclusion awhile back.

I’ll also add a decent camera to that list so that I can take lots of pictures of my kids to annoy people on Facebook with.

I only have a couple of apps I use on a regular basis.

My buddy at work was showing me an app on his phone. He literally had to swipe through 6 or 7 pages of folders to find it.

Been an iPhone user since 3g, been jailbreaking them up until about 6-7 months ago. Jailbreaking community dried up, which steered me into upgrading from my 2 year old iPhone 6 Plus (bendy one) to a Samsung Galaxy S8+.

I have been holding off upgrading until Note 8, and it didn't quite blow away the S8+ in many regards, so I dipped my toes into the Android pool with the S8+.

Long story short, zero regerts and an absolutely beast of a phone, with decent battery life, awesome camera, and stunning display. Never going back to Apple again.

Trading my note 5 in for Note 8 plus the free Samsung gear 360, it was like 6 something with the trade in. Hope it's worth it. A little expensive but an alright deal with the trade in and free gear 360. Plus, it's time for an upgrade.
