Beautiful cottage, but the outdoor space is very underwhelming compared to the building. I've been looking at cottages recently, and I've seen properties in the $800k range with better outdoor amenities. And for me, at a cottage the outdoor space is where its at.

Too big.

Would prefer a cabin by the swamp.

Edit: I was thinking 1 dimensional.

If you could drop 4 million on a house you definitely have enough to hire 10 maids to maintain it and if you pay them well enough it's skinny dipping Friday.

Very good point.

I gave it a 4 mostly because I am all too familiar with Golden Eagle. The area isn't that bad I was born about 18 miles south of Rhinelander and still own some land up there but the locals are usually pretty poor, there isn't much industry up there anymore with the paper mill shutting down and consolidated paper selling all their land to a lumber complany years ago.

Looks like upper Wisconsin. We vacation at a place called Manitowish Waters up there.
A five minute boat tour and you go by these mansions. Summer time is continual hammering and heavy equipment. It’s also in the Arapaho National Forrest; so you buy land to have the DNR tell you how it is maintained.
Beautiful area, very secluded; I would take that opulence over a large home in any urban area.

**Edit just watched the video and it’s Rhinelander

Like 20 minutes away from our spot

Observations:

  • He said at the beginning of the video you all have been asking about showing cheaper homes. Proceeds to show a $4 million home. <{cruzshake}>
  • Fireplaces on new homes are dumb imo. When you have global warming what do I need more heat for?
  • 2 sinks and 3 dishwashers in the kitchen. Come on man. People buying this type of home are not cooking like that.
  • A tub right next to the master bed itself? That's a no for me.
  • Why are the ceilings so damn high? That crap gets dusty. Just super high ass ceilings for no reason.
  • People please stop putting billiard tables in your house. They have crap for resale value and take up a ton of space.

I've done work in at least 1 of their homes, and I think 2 or 3.

I have MAJOR issues with this house.

1. That much carpet in a house in Wisconsin? GTGOH. That shit would be ruined quick.

2. A bathtub right by the bed??? Is this a 70's porn set??? Then to top it off you have CARPET right beside it?????? Can you imagine the mold that's going to collect???

3. The bunk beds in the closets. That's illegal as fuck. No ventilation or egress in case of a fire. Plus, where the hell is everyone putting their clothes?

4. What don't tell you about those "awesome" tall windows and being between 2 lakes? Extra lake flies!!!! YAY!!! I can't imagine how much pressure washing that they had to do to get that place so clean for the video.

5. The kitchen color stood out like a sore thumb.

6. Having to go through a bathroom to get to a bedroom makes no sense to me.

7. That fire pit was pathetic for that amount of space, and the seating area around it wasn't very big.

I'm not a fan of the gigantic windows everywhere, with seemingly no blinds anywhere? Even if it's in a remote location, just the idea of people being able to watch me in my home would be uncomfortable.

4 mil is cheap for a mansion
lol, if you're worrying about global warming, a fireplace is the last thing to worry about, the entire home can be under water........ if you believe that shit <lol>
sinks and dishwasher seem silly until you host a party......
the tub does make sense view wise
super high ceilings are awesome, dont be jelly
billiard tables are dumb, but it is 5K square feet, you are allowed some dumb elements, and mansions of that size typically do have space fillers.

Rhinelander Wisconsin will have mosquitos the size of crows.

bedrooms have blinds, they look to be very compact, possibly electronic
