If someone is a pro MMA fighter, could they still box in the next olympics?

I've been searching google for a few minutes, nothing too strenuous and could't find an answer to the question of the tile of this thread. Was just curious if a pro MMA fighter could qualify to box in the olympics because technically you aren't a professional boxer?

Pre-NBA Dream Team they wouldn't have been allowed, now they could. Problem is there is no money in Olympic boxing and an MMA fighter would have to devote a ton of time to boxing training then qualify.
