Or do you have that point of contact when it comes tech? Will google research sometimes suffice? or a word from a tech person is better?

This covers gadget and computers in general home / work use.

I'm decent I guess

I am assuming that the average man cant build his own PC

Useles, idont know how to download music or movies or put them on a hard drive, Im that shit on a comouter my sister has to update my resume.

I can sherdog, google, pay bills apply for jobs and check my emails and thats about it

I work in the ICT industry however very specialized. I dont consider myself that tech savvy in the common use of the term

I have mastered surfing the web for porn & sports livestreams

8/10

It's a huge part of my job to research and use new tech products.

I think I am pretty average for a guy in the mid-30s.

I can pretty much start using most electronic devices without the manual. Build my own PC and can problem solve most of the issues I encounter on my computer.

I can hotwire a toaster & connect it to the internet

I build my own pcs. I do my own upgrades. I fix other people's computers. I'm the most tech savvy person I know IRL, outside of any of my IT acquaintances.

I'm actually hoping this whole internet fad will blow over soon.

Not very as change annoys me and I hate touch screens.

I'm pretty savvy, I don't need anyone to tell me what to buy.

I do tons of research on all the specs of the different products and make a decision.

Have not used paper or pencil for much in a long time. Everything is on my phone

I was arguing that exact same point recently and one of my older friends with fatter fingers showed me how it's done with a little chopstick looking instrument. What a sellout. Tech is for those that need help with bar trivia games.

I do well with the basics. For the more complicated stuff, I call husband to deal with it.

Yeah, I'm very much the same. I work in IT. But I have very specialized skills. I'm pretty good all around. But when it comes to understanding hardware, like what motherboard I should have with what RAM and processor, or even just what processors are best and why, I am very lacking.
