How hard is it to work on your weakness as a fighter

A lot of fighters have weaknesses that are obvious to us as fans, but sometimes those weaknesses are never fixed.
Thomas Almeida-Defense, being a slow starter
Conor Mcgregor-Cardio
Masvidal-Fighting with urgency,(granted Wonderboy is a tough opponent, but he was far too passive)
Aldo/Barao-Cardio/weight cutting
Cowboy being a slow starter, he got destroyed by other notoriously slow starter Masvidal
Damian Maia-Conditioning, he was getting beatdown by Covington in the third round
Anyone who gets subbed by Oleksiy Oliynyk-he's small, slow, and totally open to getting hit, pick him apart at range!

You understand what the word weakness means right?.. No 1 fighter is perfect and to focus on only your weaknesses will weaken your strengths.. Its about balance..im sure all of these guys/girls are working there weakness but focusing on your strengths more..which makes sense at the highest level of MMA its more about being in shape and keeping the fight in your wheel house or strength then not having weaknesses as this is an unattainable goal

Not a fighter, but ive watched enough UFC to know that if i was a fighter i would have no weaknesses to work on.

Cardio is the easiest thing to work on unless you are consumed with keeping aesthetic muscle mass.
