Just wanted to bump this thread and add that there is so much bro science here,
i don't even know where to begin.
Hillarious, guy who have never lifted weights in thier whole life bashing strength training.
1.no such thing as "grappling strength" or "old man strength" vs weight lifting strength.
2. There are tons of super-successful examples of muscular guys with cardio in mma, from hughes, sherk, lesnar, monson,palhares
3. There have been studies on reach in mma and it's importance is very little up until over 4 inches disparity. Even then, shorter guys tend to win more decisions because are more often stronger and wrestlers for their division.
I can almost smell the scrawny dudes telling themselves they can fight and it doesn't matter lol
