This video is a collaboration between two DJs, one American and one Iraqi. They got with a Japanese animation company to make a music video for their song. The video went viral and what I don't get it how can people not get the story?

People have to be told what the actual storyline is, when it's so straight forward.

Do you get it? It's a beautiful story, either way, even though it's too short.

Watched it. Is is supposed to be taken literally? If it is, then what is there to spell out? World is ending due to a planetoid colliding with the earth and destroying it. Father goes all Jor-El and builds VR capsule to save his daughter. Girl is stuck living an empty existence in a digital world hoping to get a message from other survivors that never comes.

Could also be allegory for the loss of a loved one, but that strikes me as the pretentious bullshit interpretation.

Either way, I want my six minutes back.

It's pretty straight forward. Looks like another planet/celestial body or huge meteor is crashing into Earth. The father decides to save his daughter by engineering a space capsule and sending her off to space. There she lives in that capsule, wired to some machinery, living in a simulated world where she is the only inhabitant and the memories of her father are the only thing that helps her with the loneliness.

Either that, or he is not the father but her pedo lover. Either way, very touching video.
