Holger Czukay - RIP

Not a good week for my favourite muscians after Becker as ex Can bassest/producer Holger Czukay has died aged 79. Probably unknown to most but in terns of influence on popular music I think you could argue potentially the biggest death since Lennon in 1980 both as arguably the prime mover in Krautrock and its many ifnluences(Talking Heads, Eno, Joy Division, Bowie, etc) also playing a massive part in the creation of sampling technology, hip hop would probably not have developed the same way without him.
