Nogueira is a legendary fighter and deserves respect. But DCs the worst matchup for him stylistically. A strong, experienced wrestler with good power and cardio for days. I

At no point in his career would Cormier lose to Barnett, we've saw that play out and while it was an older Barnett, it was a DRUBBING. Not even competitive and that was a much greener DC.

Barnett was washed when DC fought him and buroke his hand 30 seconds into the fight. And i dont know what fight u watched or if u just watched DCs slam but Barnett had a lot of moments in that fight, and it was very competitive, especially the last 2 rounds which Barnett arguably won.











 
Don't know who would win... But big nog was a beast. Always felt he could pull something outta his ass no matter how beat up he was. Warrior no doubt

I used to think like that, but if you have a close look at it, you could argue that:

> in Rings: Minotau showcased a more brilliant game than Fedor

> in Pride: Fedor won twice against him, but didnt fight Barnett, and failed to finish Crocop. Edge to Fedor, but Minotau´s run b4 was impressive too. IIRC, both 12 finishes...

> Post-Pride: both past their prime, but Minotau showed a lil more...

If Fedor didnt exist Nog wouldve been 31-2-1 by the time he won the UFC HW title and he had already won the PRIDE HW title...............and he avenged both losses decisively. One loss was a robbery and the other was the best HW fight of alltime. I dont think ppl appreciate how fucking insane that is

Nog had one of the GOAT chins and durability/hecovery. Not really any realistic change he gets finished by someone like DC
 
i think of big nog as the guy that always got the absolute life beat out of him every fight but usually won somehow.

Barnett was washed at 31-5 coming off a dominant win over Sergei yet Tim Sylvia, that was a quality win. Is anyone on this site not a nostalgic deep throater?

what about his win over big foot Silva roided version who beat the crap out of fedor who in turn destroyed nog?
what about Hendo that got wallopped by dc yet he actually has a win over big. whether it was disputed or not, he has a win. Anderson lost a clear decision and DC wasn't even trying in an exhibition fight. He held back. go watch the fight again.
