They were both kodokan collegiate judo competitors. Kikuno went on to study kyokushin (Korean style)karate then traditional real karate under Okinawan linage. Omigawa trained mma at yoshida dojo.

They both are former ufc fighters.

Sweet, I always liked Omigawa and enjoy his style. Ganryujima seems like a lot of fun, I just wish there was an easy way to watch it.
