It would be 5 years since they last fought. Floyd 5 years older and Canelo 5 years more experienced. If Canelo beats GGG would that entice Floyd to come out of retirement for a massive Cinco de Mayo 2018 pay day? Who would win? Could Canelo make 154?

5 years haven't made Canelo's feet any faster which was his main problem against Floyd, too slow and plodding. The first fight was a near shut out, it wasn't even close, and Floyd takes care of himself. Canelo would get picked apart IMO, although not as badly.

Doubt Floyd would fight Canelo at this point. iirc they fought at a 152 lb catch weight. It sounds like Canelo put on a bit of weight for Jr and GGG, so who knows if he can even make super welterweight anymore. If Floyd comes back, it's either for Pacman or Conor.

Canelo would cut off an arm to make the weight if it meant another Floyd payday. That fight would make stupid money. It would make the GGG- Canelo fight look like a charity event.

That was a possibility for this past weekend if Canelo had fought GGG instead of Smith and won. Seems less likely to happen now especially since Mayweather can get to 50-0 and a big payday against McGregor.

Alvarez vs GGG is going to make mega bucks don't worry about that.

Dont see an aged and rusty Floyd coming out of retirement to fight Canelo who, if he beats Golovkin, will be on an absolute terror entering his prime years.

Canelo is 170+ these days (5-10 pounds more mass than he had against Floyd) and is never going back to JMW. Floyd has started to show some real physical deterioration, and that was two years ago. It's very unlikely, and it's the kind of fight I could easily see being a bridge too far for Mayweather when he's well into his 40s.
