fightmatrix's top 25 p4p fighters of all time and their records against each other

some strange choices in that top 25

fitch, marquardt, and edgar on this list?

5. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira 3-4-0 (1)
14. Nate Marquardt 0-1-0 (0)
18. Mauricio Rua 3-3-0 (0)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Stopped readin at GSP over Fedor.

Hughes over Big Nog & Marquardt over Shogun tells me all I need to know about this list.

That's a terrible, terrible list.

Urijah Faber higher than Wanderlei Silva?

Nate Marquardt higher than Shogun Rua?

And where is Kazushi Sakuraba and Mirko Crocop?

And how can Rashad Evans be higher than Jon Jones?

What a horrendous pile of fail.

what about faber higher than aldo?

Thanks, do they not release their algorithm? They just tell you what they kinda considered? Can you send me the link where you found this?

IDK what their algorithm is, but my assumption is that it takes into account dominance, strenght of opposition, technique stats (IE: average takedowns landed per round), consistency, multidivisional success etc...

The explanation I wrote (the long one) was directly off of the Fightmatrix website

how about BJ Penn? 11 fight record against these top p4p 25.

which brings up the question, what's more impressive? losing a lot of fights in a division not really meant for you, or staying dominant in a division where you're not at a size disadvantage

I'm not a huge Jones fan, but come on. Below a number of guys who he has beaten as well as Fitch. Makes no sense.

I dont know about that list....a few things are off.

1- andy
2- gsp
3- fedor

honestly could be in any order but those are the big 3

Haha. Jones already beat 4 other top guys and Anderson only beat 2 others. That tells you who fights the better competition. Anderson fights bums. Jones fights legends.
