Fighters should never do that Frank Mir liquid protein diet only

I kinda mix it up...i have 3-4 shakes, but also whole meals..lots of oatmeal..and the protein powder I use, also has alot of oatmeal in it, with also sweet potato powder...and they used whole food protein sources...beef protein, fish, egg, etc...it's called MRE. plus i add my own fiber...
Well there you go you are getting bulking agents like fiber and oats

I was doing pure liquid from MRP and whey shakes no solids.

Why are you on a blender drink diet is it for health do you have digestive issues? I was told you should chew your food well like a horse because your saliva will release digestive enzymes that break down the foods and it eases your digestive system from having to break down meats and stuff that are not properly chewed.

A girl on my beer league softball team did an all liquid diet for a month. I don’t even want to think about the repercussions of that.
you will never get a firm stool it will come out like smelly liquid stools, unless she was juicing in a vitamix blender with solid vegetables that have fiber and she drank the thick smoothie rich fiber than the stools will continue to form but if she were on a pure liquid fast or liquid diet with no fiber or bulking agents its almost guaranteed her shits were pure liquid or she didn't go for days.

I remember Frank Mir said for one fight he was on nothing but whey protein and meal replacement shakes.

I decided to try it out and did it for three days I would drink one ensure drink for breakfast a whey shake for lunch a whey for post workout and a meal replacement shake before bed, but I wasnt taking a dump, and my stomach kept grumbling I finally cave in and eat some solid foods, a few moments later i start cramping up and run to the restroom and have diarrhea, everytime i ate something solid id have to go to the restroom, it took about three before my stools formed again and no longer had liquid shits or cramping

Where do fighters come up with these diets?

Why did you think that was a good idea?

There's a reason they are called 'supplements'.

The thing about any diet is you need to give it more than 3 days. And tbh this isn't the worse diet for a fighter trying to make or maintain weight. People do week/month long fasts all the time.

I dont know im weird ill try anything for some reason, plus Frank Mir was doing it and saying it was great he felt lighter and eating solids made him feel heavier or sluggish.

I only tried it for a few days but it was horrible for me, lots of cramping and stomach grumbling it was like my stomach was talking and moving looking for solids to break down.

but man the moment you start eating a whole meal again after only drinking liquids get ready for the reaction your gut will have and make sure the restroom is open.

From the same bro science teams where coaches come up with excersizes that consistently injure fighters.
like Cain Velasquez trainer who made him do crazy leg extensions and super heavy kettle bell lifts when the purpose of the kettle bell is not to lift heavy but to do motions with enough weight you can actually move with.

Im not a nutrition expert so I wont comment on that but im sure Frank Mir started to suck just cause he just wasn't that good compared to most fighters he lost to and I used to root for the guy

People come up with these wacky diets as a way to explain away their muscle gains, being super ripped etc when in reality the answer is usually just roids

I was just at a scientific liver meeting and one of the most successful long term clinical studies of obese people that resulted in high rates of: reversal of T2D/fatty liver and loss of 15 or more kg body weight, found that the most successful approach was liquid diet. The lead investigator stated that liquid diet was the easiest to stick to. low cal foods were generally unappealing while still giving the patients the idea of 'eating solid food' which made them crave other solid foods.

I guess the idea is that if you're only on liquid diet, you ingest it so quickly that it takes away the association of pleasure with eating.

This might not work for athlete, but the 10yr study of obese patients is pretty compelling.

It’s true, in fact rocket science is less complex than nutrition. Arg don’t have time to explain my premise
I mean rocket science concepts are actually fairly simple although the construction is a massive project and expense, but ultimately it’s just ‘propulsion.’ Well, I guess there’s satellite targeting tech involved.. but at least there is consensus. In nutrition there’s too much interplay between biochemistry and psychology.. and most theories disagree

There's probably a bit of a difference in how your body is performing when compared to an elite level professional athlete.

I wouldn't expect my Ford Escort to run very well if I put rocket fuel into it.

Yeah but if Franks body is a Ford Raptor, why would he only put kerosene in it?
