When I saw the sentence was only 3 years in the title I immediately knew it was a female teacher.

Again though this really depends on the nature of the crime, if you find a much longer male sentence I'm guessing the chances are in was more rape/threat based, this sounds like another consensual but underage affair.

Here in the UK I remember that male teacher getting 5 years for sleeping with AND running away to France with a student and only serving 2 years of it.

Again, as with most of these cases, if the student was developed, 15-17 I would see this different. Fucked up for sure but not pedo. 13 is a child for sure. 8th grade.
