From Dave Meltzer's audio:
Looks like it did a lot better then expected
Early numbers from a few distributors have it on track to be about 350k or over

Remember a lot more distributors have to release numbers so it can go up/down, but as of now it is in trending in the 350k range

That's basically confirmation that the casuals don't watch prelims.
Those were horrible, I can't believe anyone would watch those prelims and be like "Hell yeah, I'm gonna buy the shit out of this card".

Also Khabib probably drew more than Cyborg/Holly.

Actually the numbers are in-line with the prelims

I don't think there are many impulse buys from viewing pre-lims

Not terrible, but the UFC needs to market Khabib's unbeaten record.

Thank fuck I wasn't part of that 350k.

The night before New years is the perfect night for a PPV. No ones going to go out anywhere.

Really? That's surprising honestly.
Both of these things, I thought good prelims usually draw a good amount of impulse buys. Why do you think there aren't many impulse buys? I'm curious.

There's a reason the UFC keeps putting on these WMMA fights as main events and it's not because Dana likes to see women fight.

If the prelims were good, it definitely gets some people excited enough to want to see more. A big reason they have them.

Yeah, the prelim numbers were higher then expected too

My reasoning is, most buys are not singular. Research shows that 4-6 people view an average UFC PPV, with bigger shows skewing more.
If most buys are grouped that would mean everyone planned on the event
The reason why most time prelim is aligned with buys is due to people arriving early & watching prelim before the main card

Well like i said years ago, Dave liked to exaggerate the numbers to please zuffa

So he's probably doing the same with wme

Even Chael said meltzer ppv numbers are bs and over the top

I think wwe fired him for doing fraud stuff like that and leaking fake news
