Dominick Cruz purposefully hyperventilating in early rounds to avoid gassing later with Dilleshaw

Such a cerebral fighter.
Lol at the word cerebral, and lol @ firas zahabi for saying it all the time, makes me ashamed of the sport.
As for cruz breathing heavy in the first round to boost him in the championship rounds is some of the dummest thing I heard in my life.

Don't call him DC. DC = Daniel Cormier.

Post hella confused me for a sec.

Always liked Cruz and his odd movement style kept thinking in the wec if he zigs while someone is zagging he will get dropped but can't say I've seen it happen yet....anyways seen a pic of Cruz with a chick on his lap supposedly it was fabers sister?? Is that why they have beef or was that a fake? Anyone know what I'm talking about and can confirm??

I don't think so :P

Yep. I think that's what he compared it to. A reset button. As if he uses multiple little gameplans all in one fight.
I have noticed Cruz's style seems to be made up of small gameplans. You can sometimes see him exhale after exchanges, almost like a reset button to get the adrenalin down or whatever. I remember him talking about how he has a number of footwork patterns so it sounds like maybe how he approaches the entire fight in small increments.

Yep. He says he goes into fights with one gameplan but then that goes out the window pretty quick & it becomes improvisation.

It is similar to Wim Hoff's breathing method that he helped Overeem with. On Joe Rogans podcast he made a comment, paraphrasing here: "when you are announcing a fight you will say 'he is taking in deep breaths' like it is a bad thing, to describe someone as being tired. But air is life, the fighter should always take in deep breaths, taking in shallow breaths would be idiotic"

I tried his breathing and it works, it makes total sense. The term hyperventilating means basically more air, I don't know how that was considered a bad thing for so long, but its all in hindsight.

But I bet you believe Marco Huas was 300-0 in street fights.

Thorgrim, he says that because the fighter is gassed. There's nothing wrong with deep breathing, but I believe Rogan is simply suggesting the fighter blew his gas tank. And that's definitely a bad thing.

While you sittin here hatin, yo' bitch is hyperventilatin'
Hopin' that we penetratin, you gets natin'
Cause I never been to Satan, for hardcore administratin'

I can't recall a fight but I'm 100 percent sure I've seen Travis Browne try to do it. I think it might have been the one where he got starched by Arlovski, or the Werdum fight... He's definitely replicated it before... I remember because it pissed me off.
