Dominic Cruz is the biggest contrarian on the MMA scene

Agreed... I felt him a lot on the letting go thing and it was more intense to imagine his struggle as he described it in detail... I just found it kind of funny that his auto response is to disagree with everyone so much more than agree (and maybe that's not a bad thing)
Can you list some examples of disagreements (excluding people that he fought)?

No I'm too lazy. Not trying to prove a point... just seeing if anyone felt the same

Disagreeing makes for a better conversation

Just like real feuds bring out the best in fighters, there's an argument to be made that internal conflict and cognitive dissonance bring out the best in oneself.. This is why so many brilliant people are bipolar. What he believes in doesn't necessarily have to be in complete agreement with what he does in practice.

But yes you are on to something ;) Just does not fit with Cruz.

Got the same vibe while listening to him and Rogan talk. He contradicted a lot of what Joe was saying but in turn made it an interesting podcast.

*Also hve a friend who does the same thing , only difference is that he's a total meathead with cap for an IQ

This is one of the few good cogent posts I've ever read from you. Legitimate quality good job.

Proper interesting bloke, gets a bit old hearing about his injuries but massive respect and imo one of the top 5 all time champions in the ufc

Reason name sounds like confusing.

I listened to about 10 mins and turned it off. Maybe I'll go back, but I did pick up what TS is talking about.

He was talking about going all flowly or some shit in the Mizugaki fight.

And all I can think is, "so it wasn't because he's a boxy puncher with poor movement?". He was the biggest favourite behind MJ/Cariaso, I doubt those numbers reflected his feelings.

I've always thought this based off of his speech in the past and today's episode with him on JRE confirmed it.

I'm not sayin he's not smart (or great fighter obviously) and I really appreciated/related to his whole "benefits of letting go" angle, but this dude seems to really get off on disagreeing with people lol

Am I the only one who sees this sherbros?
Now that you brought it up, I do notice it

Dominic Cruz mentally punches himself out everyday, and gets right back up. Crazy fuck is fighting himself 24/7

I disagree, TS. I think he's just someone who will say what he actually believes instead of pretending to agree with the person he is talking to just to appease them or avoid confrontation.
