Fist Fight
3/10. Really bad.

Get Out - 9/10
Finally got around to watching it, and was not disappointed. I was impressed the most with how well the suspense worked, and especially with how the humor added to it. The film easily could have drifted off into full-blown parody territory, but never did thanks to the acting from everyone involved. From Daniel Kaluuya all the way on down, there wasn't a weak link to be had.
The only thing keeping it from a perfect score for me was the third act. It was still engaging, though it did feel a little rushed; like the movie knew it had to get the violent parts out of the way, and proceeded to handle it in a "by the numbers" sort of way. The actual ending more than made up for it, though.
I refused to see any FF films, so I'm legit curious what it is about the franchise fans are nostalgic for. I remember my mates showing fight scenes from one of them (statham and vin diesel fighting on a crumbling park garage roof...) and the whole thing looked like tv-movie cheese
Escape from New York-
Really fun movie. I always enjoy Kurt Russell and Donald Pleasence, plus Mermaid Man is in there too as Cabbie. Fun cast, fun movie. Classic John Carpenter.
7/10
Should definitely watch Escape from LA next bro. Don't let the bad reviews put you off, that shit is gold
Unbreakable 8/10
After watching Split I decided to check out Unbreakable and was glad I did. Great comic book meets real world movie where the superpowers are more subdued. It did seem like it never got out of 3rd gear or so, but overall a good watch
The Fate of the Furious: 3/10
Damn, they're really scrapping the bottom of the barrel with this franchise. This film was shit. Not quite the worst of the franchise, but bottom three for sure. How did we go from something that started out awesome and relatively realistic to this trash? I just want it to be about street racing again. Not this Looney Tunes bullshit. It seems like everything they do and talk about is ground already covered. Ugh, at least it's not Marvel-bad. Or rather, this one wasn't. But almost.
Dances With Wolves 9.5/10
I havent seen this in probably 20 years. I had been reluctant to because it is so long. But man it is just awesome. I have a particular love of the American West and native american culture, so that makes it even better for me. Great stuff all around and it still holds up well after all these years
also, credit to mary mcdonnell who manages to look smokin even though she is disheveled in the entire movie. my younger self didnt appreciate it because she was older, but since she was about my age now in that film, i appreciate it. women of that age usually have a hard time looking good, especially without a lot of makeup
Don't Breathe. 5.5/10. Meh
