Demetrius Andrade to Fight Alantez Fox in HBO Co-Feature 10/21

For the first time since 2013, Demetrius Andrade will fight twice in the same calendar year.

BoxingScene.com has learned that the WBA world super welterweight champion will square off against Alantez Fox in a non-title, middleweight match October 21 in Verona, New York. HBO will televise the Andrade-Fox fight as part of a “Boxing After Dark” doubleheader from Turning Stone Resort Casino.

In the main event, Panama’s Jezreel Corrales (22-1, 8 KOs, 1 NC) will make a 12-round defense of his WBA world super featherweight championship against Puerto Rico’s Alberto Machado (18-0, 15 KOs).

I remember Andrade, on some FNF card, losing his conditioning against some no hoper, and begging his dad to tell him he was the greatest.

It was 2008....
