Why would you bother getting naked when you're that much over?

To get his recorded weight as close as possible. When they weigh naked and heavy by more than 1.5 lbs, they are usually done.

It's also why he got the emergency time added. He was in a good sweat but they knew once that was paused it was done. He likely was a couple pounds heavier 20 minutes earlier
