On Mirko's official youtube page he posted a video rolling with a bjj specialist and one guy asked about the farewell fight in the comment section and Mirko replied "soon"..

Wonder who he's going to fight

Cro Cop did an interview yesterday and said his fight won't be against Fedor. He said that Fedor needed to beat Meathead for this fight to happen and since he didn't the fight is off. Well that sucks

Winning the tournament was really the perfect finish, especially with three finishes. It almost seems greedy going for one last one, but whatever - war Cro Cop.
 
Just realized Crocop is like Cher, lots of farewells but never really retiring.

That was his pre-farewell farewell tour capped with the actual farewell fight. It will be James Thompson. Although it was also be a pre-farwell fight for in a year he'll come back and kill HMC in the ring and then he will retire for real for a year until it's time to fight Fedor again.
 
Unless it's Emelianenko or Liddell, I think it would be best for Cro Cop to leave on the GP win high note.
 
If he announces it as an exhibition match-- like Kenji Osawa's retirement match-- I think it'll be a legit farewell. It'll be a fight, but it won't be too serious and he'll have reasonable protection from the ruleset, and there won't be so much pressure on it like there are with regular retirement matches. Otherwise there's probably like a 50/50 chance he'll come back afterwards for the fourth time.
 
Hopefully he doesn't fight again he went out on a high note
 
Been following him for 12+ years and he has had at least 5 farewell fights. War Cro Cop, but he should stay retired unless there is a second Fedor fight. Not particularly interested in anything else, but will always watch.

Didn't he say a rematch with Fedor would be the only fight he'd come back for?
 
Oh man I was hoping he'd ride off with the Rizin OWGP tourny win as the perfect end. But if it is a rematch with Fedor I'm all for it.
 
It would be awesome if it was Fedor.

Cro Cop's retirements never stick though. Who knows if he stays retired this time. Dude can't not fight. It's in his DNA.
 
I'd love to see Chael vs CC, huge fan of both but I just want to witness Chael eating his own words after repeatedly bashing Mirko and alluding his fights were mostly works.

Would love to see that. Sonnen wouldn't have a hope, couldn't get an takedown, gets brutally KO'd.

Liddell would be an awesome fight, two of the early successful sprawl and brawl masters. Reckon Crocop takes his head off though
 
Winning the 2012 K-1 GP: Nice moment for long time fans and some closure after a disatisfying UFC career. Nice time to retire.

Winning the rematch against Gonzaga: Personally, much better closure on his MMA career, getting back that loss that really derailed his career. Nice time to retire.

Winning the Rizin GP: Wow, he proved he still had some fight left in him, nice performance in Japan where it all started. Nice time to retire.

Crocop's got more endings than Return of the King. Idk what he could have lined up that would beat these moments. He's pushing his luck :-/
