Conor vs Cowboy size difference

His own coach said it was tough making 145, and didn't think he could do it much longer, and that the plan was to fight at LW in the UFC but the UFC wanted him at FW
his own coach also dealt with his cut for most his career before handing it to professionals, lockhart said he could make 145 again.

nah, he taller but slimmer. Conor can pull off the forward pressure that Cowboy doesn't do well against. Easy fight.

If cowboy uses his ground game and kickboxing and plays smart he can win. If he wants to bang and doesn't change levels conr can knock him out.
With his new outlook and team d bang will whisper in his ear the secrets to a win imo.

How fast will it end for conr if it goes to the ground?
Faster than Perry? Edson? Oliviera?

Cowboy’s chin is too cracked and he leaves his body exposed for body shots

He will have size advantage but will also look depleted

Not to mention Cowboy admittedly suffers from anxiety before big fights and main events. And the spotlight will be on him and Conor more than the Fight Night title fight he had in the past

Conor wins by TKO

I am looking forward to this fight, the build up, etc.

Yes, these 3 (Kevin Lee, Ferguson, Khabib, etc.) need 165 division.

It would also be a nice class for Cowboy, Masvidal, RDA.

Woodley and others to 175.

Wait...you are saying a guy who has never missed weight one time, has 11 wins in a row (8 finishes), and has shown arguably the best cardio we've seen in the 25 year existence of the sport that he "needs to be at a bigger weight class"?

Uhhh...why?

4x

I like Conor tbh, but folks yapping about how McG absolutely runs Cowboy over here are seriously not remembering how Conor does against non-manlets who have a decent skill-set.

Conor can win if he can keep this in boxing range, but cerrone is a live dawg.

IMO you're tied for second best poster in the Heavies.

Agreed. The haters were calling Conor out for fighting midgets but he never missed weight in that division and seemed to flourish the best in that division. He is fighting much bigger and stronger guys at LW many of whom should be at WW (Kevin Lee, Ferguson, Khabib, etc.)
"flourish the best". straight up lie. also he can't make the weight anymore to save his life

Conor really isn't big for lightweight which is crazy because everyone gave him stick for being oversized for featherweight when imo that was his division.

cerrone is big for a lightweight. conors size is pretty much the standard in lightweight division. tony ferguson for example is a natural welterweight.

If the fight stays standing Conor would be the slight favorite. If it goes to the ground Conor is in trouble.

and the despite the "size difference" Cerrone got fucking mauled in that fight
Cowboy is obviously a good bit taller than both men but he's lanky af so that difference really ain't shit

Exactly so conor should take note and go back to being the Ferguson/Khabib of featherweight, at least there his power translates and the grappling thread isn't as strong.

Tony has missed weight...zero times. He has shown not just good, but almost inhuman cardio at 155. No bad side effects whatsoever from the cut, and never looks super drawn out or bad on the scales like most guys. In fact he does like 1 hour open workouts during his cut with more energy than pretty much anyone in MMA.

So...why is he a "natural WW"? Because he "looks big" to you?

I'm always interested in how people come to what I see as very odd conclusions.

Not even really interested in this fight at this point. Cowboy and Conor are into two completely different headspaces. A few years ago, this would have been a blockbuster fight, but now, I see Papa Cowboy taking it easily. Having a kid seems to have leveled out Cowboy and shook some of the bad mojo he was carrying around, as well as closing out the toxic chapter of WinkleJohn this past weekend.

Conor had a kid as well, but lost his fucking mind instead of using it as a point to ground himself.

Visually, Conor looked just as big as Khabib. Conor looked a lot bigger than his opponents at FW.

Do you think Conor could still make FW?

Who f*king cares if Cerrone is physically bigger than McNuggets as long as he weighs in @155 all is good. And why does it seem whenever a Conor fight might be announced people start taking out their tape measures on his opponents like weighing in at proper weight is not good enough they need to fit Conor's Match.com fighting physical stats can't be too big or tall but someone just right, f*king Goldilocks fighter.
