CompuBox Ranks The Top Heavyweights in Boxing

By CompuBox

The Heavyweight division is alive. Champs Anthony Joshua (KO 10 Carlos Takam) & Deontay Wilder (KO 1 Bermane Stiverne) won their recent fights, as did contenders Jarrell Miller (KO 9 Wach) and Dillian Whyte (W 12 Helenius), while former champ Tyson Fury is back in training. So who's got the best tool box CompuBox rates the Top Heavyweights in 10 statistical categories....

Joshua amassed the most points by virtue of his solid offensive numbers and his overlooked defense (some say his offense is his defense)- opponents landed just 21.6% of their total punches and just 25.3% of their power shots and landed just 6.6 punches per round- 10 fewer than the CompuBox average.

Wilder landed 42.8% of his total punches and 8.6 jabs per round which set up his accurate power shots (56.6%). Miller is the busiest (66.6 per round) and landed
the most punches per round (23.1), but they are mostly arm punches.

Miller opponents landed 13.5 punches per round. Whyte averaged 65.1 thrown per round while opponents landed 14.8 punches per round. Parker landed less than 10 punches per round.

Plus minus determined by subtracting opponents connect pct. from listed fighter's connect pct.
