No not fixed, Ronda is superior to Miesha as a fighter. Miesha showed absolutely nothing even in her win over Holly that would demonstrate that she could ever beat Ronda. Miesha beat Holly because Holly struggles with tough smothering wrestlers, Ronda struggles with great strikers with good footwork and she destroys smothering wrestlers.. Guess which category Miesha falls in?

Tate said she let her emotions take over as soon as the fight started.
She abandoned her game plan.

I doubt that happens next time IMO

What you all forget is that Rousey 2 was her first fight with this camp, and like 1 month before she was still in Tacoma, or something like that.
It's a clear break in her career, and until I don't see another arm being ripped off, I give Tate 50/50 chances to win.

Meisha trains at Xtreme Couture, which has been revitalized in recent years. For striking, they've got freaking Joel Casamayor, Olympic gold medalist and one of the best lightweight boxers in modern history, and Ray Sefo, K-1 Grand Prix kickboxing legend.

As head coach, they've got the BJJ black belt Robert Follis, former head coach of Team Quest, which of course produced champs like Couture and Henderson, and contenders like Lindland and Sonnen.

As for Ronda....*sigh* ...well she's got Mr. "beautiful work, champ" Edmond.



This goofy video should tell you all about the quality of Ronda's training.

More than 5 years with Edmond, and Ronda still doesn't know how to turn her hips into a cross, looks clumsy and unbalanced when throwing simple combinations.

Ronda is a world class athlete, as her Olympic bronze attests. Everyone praises her work ethic in the gym. If after more than half a decade training striking, Ronda still looks like shit even on the most basic boxing beginner's combination (jab-cross-left hook), the problem can't be Ronda. the problem has to be her coach.

Let me leave you with this classic gif of Edmond nodding approvingly while Ronda hits the pads with no head movement, her chin stuck out as an easy target, and her feet spread too far apart for power or mobility. Check out Edmond deliberately missing the hook so that Ronda never learns how to avoid it.

p.s. i know Ronda has good grappling coaches, but it's not grappling training that she so desperately needs.

I have been saying this here, while you see Miesha at extreme couture, Amanda Nunes at ATT, Holly with Greg Jackson, even Bethe Correia at AKA, and etc, and see Ronda still doing awfull mitts with Edmond you know it´s a matter of time before a lot of fighters close that gap in Ronda.

Miesha defended decently in the clinch against Ronda in the second fight. Ronda must've thrown her only once in the clinch and that was in the late second round when Miesha gassed; all her other successful throws were from countering Miesha's sloppy takedown attempts. All those issues are remedied by improved strength, cardio, and fight IQ.
 
Ronda mirks Tate all day.. However, I really don't know how Ronda will come back after Holly kicking her head off.. It's going to be fun to watch it all play out..
I'm really rooting for Kat to make a run!
 
Wtf was she doing with her head in one of those pumcj sequences? It's like she was trying to snap her neck with every punch lmao.

The girl just isn't meant to be a striker. Let's get over it, guys. She's gonna beat her next opponent (if it's not Holly or Amanda Nunes) due to her grappling, grappling threat, and if she so happens to hurt her opponent with strikes, the fanboys will say how her stand ups improved 10 fold.

Also, how bad does it look that the woman that embarrassed her on epic levels got choked out by the girl she always beats.
 
Don't forget Caraway. Dude built a champion. A champion that he has sex with.
 
Also, Miesha's improving overall & camp wise while Ronda is falling & sticking with the same shit...
 
If Tate wins it would be most satisfying win in recent years.

So what happened the first time then?
 
Miesha started doing MMA more than 10 years ago, yet somehow just now, between the second and third Rousey fight, she's magically started improving in a way that makes her beat the fighter that has dominated her twice?

The only way she beats Ronda is if Ronda has somehow regressed/lost her competitive spirit.
