I think it was just all power in the end. Mendes is as strong as an ox and he nearly snapped Glover in two at the end. His strength kept him in it and he was able to stop the choke for quite some time. Props to chain. Looking forward to his return.
 
Aldo faced and beat the best version of Mendes ever. The juiced, full-camp, Duane Ludwig trained, 5-fight win streak Mendes. Aldo is the GOAT.
 
Chad Mendes is not know for his BJJ skills, he is a wrestler with KO power. Not to diminish his skills, but I believe Oliveira, Lamas or Pettis could have submitted Conor in exact same situation

he submitted Glover faster than Glover submitted him, that's why he won. (which is impressive, i agree)

I'd like to see a post-USADA rematch. USADA can bring pipettes so if Aldo spills his urine they can suck it up off the floor and still test it.

Your obsession with Khabib is strong. Your obsession with Conor is even stronger.
 
Pretty neat, but rewind time back to like 19:30. Mendes gets sub'd first, then gets the same position to start with and needs to sub Jeff quicker to win.
