calisthenics for martial arts

What could be the biggest benefits of doing calisthenics for martial arts? Better muscle endurance (not burning out so fast)? Strength, mobility, control?
 
If you look at all the greats, frazier, ali, tyson, duran, marciano etc.. the list goes on, most of them stuck mostly to calisthenics and hardly touched weights during their prime. Tyson is a great example of someone during his prime almost never touched weights and during his downward spiral tried to just rely on power and began lifting. Fedor another GOAT almost hardly ever touched weights look at all his training vids, push-ups, pullups, dips etc
