Yair’s the rightful favorite, but what’s compelling abt the matchup imo is you have a guy who tends to look amazing then fade late (Yair) vs a guy who tends to start slow but lasts long enough to give himself chances(Ortega). What I wanna see is if Ortega still has that durability vs such dynamic offense and if Yair still falls off later in fights or has tweaked things so that he can sustain

Yair hurt him twice standing in the first 4 minutes of their fight.

Ortega has a chin that he’s been relying on like a FW Tony Ferguson - eventually that shit is getting cracked.

Dude has basically been hurt or rocked in every single fight except for Edgar and TKZ, plus the legendary Max and Volk beat downs were lifetimes of damage rolled into single fights.

There is a finite limit on damage you can take, no matter how tough you are or willpower you have.

Guida dropped him too when he was younger.
Now he's older, got the shit kicked out of him by Max and Volk(could throw in the first Yair fight as well) along with being inactive as hell the last couple of years(1-3 since 2018). Also like you said, he gets rocked a ton and has horrendous defense.

His shoulder is messed up after having about three major surgeries on it, there's just a lot of things are pointing to him being screwed here unless he finds a way to get back on the sauce now that USADA is gone.
