Arum had some good prospects on the #PacKhan undercard but now that #PacKhan is happening in May, Arum said hes gonna put the PPV on anyway.

Some good prospects but will do less than 100k buys

Top Rank is planning a pay-per-view card that will feature three of its world titleholders making defenses, as well as the professional debut of 2016 U.S. Olympic silver medalist Shakur Stevenson, on April 22 from the StubHub Center in Carson, California, chairman Bob Arum told ESPN on Monday.

Arum said featherweight Oscar Valdez, super middleweight Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez and junior featherweight Jessie Magdaleno all will defend their world titles on the card, which could be part of a split-site telecast with welterweight world titleholder Manny Pacquiao's proposed defense against Amir Khan, which is in the works to take place at a venue to be determined in the United Arab Emirates on April 23.

Arum said that if Pacquiao-Khan is finalized it would take place in the early morning hours in the UAE in order to coincide with a live evening broadcast in the United States.

While the Pacquiao-Khan deal remains far from done, Arum said he is putting on the card at StubHub Center regardless of what happens with that fight.

Pacquiao/Khan with a decent undercard will definitely exceed 100K.

It sounds like this wont be on the Pac/Khan undercard. Its probably gonna be a PPV with Oscar Valdez vs Marriaga as the main event.

Rafael wrote the article poorly (as per usual), but it seems to suggest the main idea is that PPV will involve the show at Stub-Hub acting as the undercard and then have Pac/Khan in the UAE (starting in the morning) as the main event. If Pac/Khan falls through this will likely bomb (it might break 100K off of the Mexican names), but if Pac/Khan goes through I can actually see this card doing half decent.

Even if it did take place on the same day/night, the idea of 4 back to back title fights isn't nearly as exciting as just 2 title fights. So many belts kinda cheapens the build up.... even worse if the arena's empty for say the first title-fight of that 3 liner card.

Arum needs to cut the bullshit, and give Pac a call and get on the same page. Then make plans going forward. Looks like there's a serious lack of communication between the two there.

I don't mind those names mentioned for the undercard.

Khan is not the PPV star he wishes he was or tells the world he is

So Bob Arum tried to make this card for FREE on HBO, and HBO said no.

HBO has no interest in boxing, unless its Crawford or GGG. They rather spend the little budget they have to counter program Showtime
