Watching the last BJ's fights make me think he was lucky in the past or he fought guys with no skills. The way he was jumping like a kangaroo in front of Frank Edgar in their last fight was kinda sad, people have to stop to tell him he can go on with this...
What are you on about? Of course BJ fought guys with "skills." And beat the shit out of many of them, and pushed the others in (for the most part) close/competitive fights. Had highlight reel finishes, a brutal RNC, one of the few actual jabs in MMA, legendary takedown defense, and a pretty amazing chin for the longest time.
Dude just faded, mentally and emotionally. Physically he can fight. Mentally he's shot. That's what makes this so sad.
Many Sherdoggers are so young and/or new to MMA that they've not seen athletes, in particular combat athletes, age out. So you get morons who believe BJ, Fedor, Big Nog, Wanderlei, Shogun, Cro-Cop, Chuck Liddell, Anderson Silva, etc etc--were not amazing fighters because as they age they lose, and often badly.
This is exacerbated by the newness of MMA and high injury rates.
Celebrate their wins, support them through losses, and overall respect the careers and contributions. In short, grow the fuck up Sherdog.
