ben crump and al sharpton held a big press conference today in Memphis TN in reference to four inmates that died at the Shelby county jail. ben, of course, represents the families and is suing the jail. al eulogized the deceased.
ben organized a “call to action” for ramon mcghee, deion byrd, gershun freeman, and marcus donald-all of whole died at the Shelby county jail.
Why were these men in lock-up?
Well, Ramon McGhee was charged with First-Degree Murder, Aggravated Robbery, Possession of a Firearm, and Commission Dangerous Felony.
Byrd was in court for first-degree murder, vehicular homicide, aggravated assault, burglary of a building.
Freeman for domestic battery, aggravated assault, and aggravated kidnapping.
Donald for assault. He was set to be released the day he was murdered by another inmate.
It does appear that there is some shit that needs fixed at the Shelby county jail. mcghee died of multiple organ failure and sepsis and had insect bites/infestation. Donald was murdered by another inmate. freeman died after he attacked deputies and was beaten and restrained and died due to cardiac issues. Two of the deputies have been indicted on charges. byrd was in court when he accused another inmate of breaking into his house. The other inmate, donnie clay, denied it and then byrd spit in his face. In a true FAFO moment, clay pulled a sharpened piece of metal out of his waistband and stabbed byrd in the neck.
As I said, there seems to be some issues there with inmate safety. I am not suggesting that their safety doesn’t matter, regardless of what they are charged with. What I am suggesting is that at least three of these guys were shitbags(don’t know Donald’s prior history) that had allegedly done terrible things. The point of this thread is that once again, ben crump and al sharpton ignore true victims when money is on the line. Fucking al posted at least four times on twitter about his eulogies for the deceased. Where was he when the victims of these men were laid to rest? Where was ben?
Both men have repeatedly shown such hypocrisy before. ben tried to sue on behalf of jacob blake after he was shot by police and paralyzed. This incident is what set off the Kenosha riots and Kyle rittenhouse was called in to restore order. But what ben and all the blm rioters across the country completely ignored was that blake broke into his ex-girlfriend’s house and rammed his fingers into her vagina while her child slept next to her, pulled his fingers out, smelled them, and stated “smells like other men.” She filed rape/sexual assault charges against him and got a protection order. When he showed up the next day, police were called and were aware of the outstanding warrants for the sexual assault. They told him he was under arrest and he resisted-violently. He was tasered to no effect and was holding a knife in his hand. He then tried to get into her vehicle to flee from police. Well, there were her three young children in car seats in that vehicle that he was going to steal to flee from police in. An officer saw this and tried to stop him by grabbing his arm as he climbed into the vehicle. blake turned towards the officer with the knife in his hand and he was shot.
How convenient for ben and all the blm activists to forget that blake violently sexually assaulted his ex(whom is black) and was trying to put three very young black children in extreme risk by stealing the vehicle they were in, kidnapping them, and fleeing from police.
Now, itt, two of the men being eulogized murdered people(don’t know the race and it would be nice to say “who cares/what does it matter?” but we all know it does matter. Why? Because if their victims were black and ben and al ignore their deaths as usual-but now suddenly care the way they died simply because they are black-it is extremely hypocritical. we hear it all the time “black lives matter.” We see the protests with the signs, we see the riots, we are all affected by it. But what about the 10k black murders/year that are ignored? And ben is absolutely the worst when it comes to this and I have said it for many years “black lives ONLY matter when it is a cop, white person, or the system killing them.”
Another one of the men violently beat his gf and kidnapped her.
Does that mean they deserve to die? Well, yeah, maybe. Does that mean they deserve to be tortured?(mcghee who died of neglect and insect infestation)-again, I don’t know. It would depend on how he killed his victim.
ben and al only care when it comes down to money and publicity. They don’t care how bad these people are-and they are usually pretty bad, so long as there is money to be made, grifting to do, and fingers to point.
