Damn, some of these purses are impressive. Maria getting 10K already, Meredith on a 30K to show purse, Lance on 40K/40K, Collins on 20K/20K already

Davis got a pretty sweet gig with that $60K for doing nothing.

I wouldn't be surprised he calls it quits for good

Yeah, I was told he was struggling with a lot of outside of the sport issues and addiction. Still kind of wild he lost. Meredith getting 30k to show as a 3-0 fighter is impressive as well, he'd probably fight on the contender series for 8k/8k and then the UFC contract would be like a scaling 12/12 with opportunity to renegotiate after 3 or 4.

whoever negotiated Daniel James' contract is the best agent in MMA.

It is more about Bellators business strategy to pay old washed up heavyweights more (like Fedor) more then fresh talented fighters who has 18-0 like Usman

They need to sign Mckenzie Stiller long term and get rid of Joey unless he really is committed to fighting.

With Benson, Fedor, and Salter retiring Bellator now has freed up some budget to either sign some top prospects (particularly at MW) or use it to promote the product.

Fedor did ok in Pride fc

I feel sorry for the Bellator's of the world that have to pay 100K to have Daniel James fight. Great for James, but that just seems extremely high for him from a business stand point. He is basically a nobody to 95% of the fans. Who was Bellator competing with to sign him at that price???

ACA

ACA definitely wouldn't be paying him that much.
I don't know about that actually. I suspect they pay people depending on where they're from since they don't have to disclose payouts to anybody. We're talking about Oligarch money here.

@Feniamin would know, but when he's mentioned it before they're not paying people anything like that. I remember Chris Camozzi talked about being paid in cash in a suitcase by them but it wasn't anything like that amount.

Yags left ACA for 75K and said that was better money then he got there. I think the Team Akhmat guys probably get paid well
