Basically Demetrious Johnson is a better version of Georges St. Pierre

How is he better?

GSP fought:
  • Johnny Hendricks
  • Nick Diaz
  • Carlos Condit
  • Josh Koscheck
  • Dan Hardy
  • BJ Penn
  • Matt Hughes
  • etc etc etc
Demetrious fought:
  • ????????????????
  • ????????????????
  • ????????????????
  • ????????????????
  • ????????????????
  • ????????????????
Level of competition is much higher for GSP.....
Dan Hardy lol

Regardless of the speed of movement dj has better technique then any heavyweight. No hw in mma has his use of angles, set ups, footwork, ect...

Hws in boxing and kickboxing (before kickboxing sucked) manage to use angle and footwork so the size has nothing to do with it.

He's supposed to have much better technique than HW's; it's 10x easier for him to move his body becase it's tiny.

Both fighters have no holes in their game but MM skillset is more elite in every aspect. Better grappling, striking and sense of urgency (more finishes than GSP). On top of that, no one has ever made Mighty Mouse quit unlike GSP.

When will you Shertards accept MM is GOAT?
GSP fought better competition in a much deeper division and you know it.

GSP's level competition is like an A whereas MM's about a C, so no. Shame he didn't accept the Dillashaw fight, in some ways it would've legitimized him as a top P4P fighter, it's back to a question mark now.

Yeah GSP fought some UFC champions/former UFC champions. This is weak spot in DJ's resume, but DJ is still active (and GSP is kinda, dunno what will happen after UFC217). In future he can go one weight up and beat BW champion, GSP never did it (still before UFC 217, and Bisping is favourite).

Gsp moved up in weight to challenge the champ while MM ran too a smaller division cause he couldn't beat Cruz.

This is a fascinating way of looking at it. GSP is a bigger WW than Johnson is a FlyW, yet this seems like a reasonable summation of the differences between the two?

Nope. If you adjust for familiarity/size bias, you'd see Mighty Mouse's opponents are just as good.
That's literally making MM's competition something they are not. lol you can't adjust attributes to suit your argument.

Most ARE NOT just as good. It's laughable to think Horiguchi is on par with Shields when Shields beat multiple fantastic fighters across 2 weight classes, some being up there for greatest of all time, like Dan Henderson.

Who the hell did Horiguchi beat? THe mailman? Fred Flinstone?

Haha these mm fans are such little trolls. They know their little man has beaten a bunch of nobodies and they cant come to grips. Call me when gsp was getting outwrestled by someone with dominic cruz level of wrestling lmao.

All 4 of mm fans are living on another planet.

Just because you don't know who they are, doesn't mean they aren't any good. Watch more MMA, then comment on Mighty Mouse's opponents.

Man, I truly feel bad at how delusional you are about mm's opponents.

Somehow, you just can't see it. Mind blowing, really.

To be fair, he wasn't suggesting adjusting the fighters' attributes, he was talking about adjusting fans' perceptions of them. Easier said than done, of course.

Coolidge is embarrassingly delusional about the calibre of MM's opponents.

He thinks that if you can throw a punch and a kick and grapple, you are automatically a great fighter.

If MM left the division tomorrow, the division dies. What other division can you say that about? Lol

No one talks about any other fighter in that weight class but we just can't see the world beaters that these guys are.

It's definitely super easy to find great fighters that stopped growing at the age of 13............. Lol.

The division is so new at the highest stage to even make it worthwhile for these guys to compete that it is insulting to act like flyweight has the same talent pool of ones like LW and WW, for example.

It's particularly fascinating considering people were begging for Silva/GSP for years and GSP declined.

I watch them fight. There are few really good fighters in that weightclass. Benavidez can probably still beat everyone in the division other than MM and he is past his prime now.
