How do you feel about Renaissance Sherdog?

One of the most technically difficult art movement to execute(imo) and one of my favorites. It's like theatre- dynamic and high contrast.

Caravaggio was bawse.

I'd agree he's perhaps the greatest figure painter ever though, still feels incredibly contemporary unlike a lot of the more flowery stuff that followed. Typically I tend to mostly collect books for landscape work for influence on my photography but I have a big Taschen book on him.

Best landscape from this era I'd say is Claude Lorrain....

I try and nick his relaxed arcadian style quite a lot as it seems to sell well...
