"the internet" is as ubiquitous as electricity or plumbing these days. So you are always somewhat connected unless you actively cut yourself off by hiding in the woods or becoming a hermit.

Internet addiction can be cured with a 12 step support group. You have to want it though.

Not at all. I use it every day because it’s available, but i don’t miss it when I’m out of reception. One of my favourite vacations is going to a remote lake where i have no cell reception. Spending 2 weeks with no internet is liberating, and I would have no problems giving it up entirely.

Of course the fact that i grew up long before the internet may have something to do with it.
