Are three title defenses really that impressive?

The TS has a point, 3 title defenses does not sound like a world beater. I know it has never been done before so it is impressive. What is really impressive is his run in the UFC.

I couldn't classify anything that has ever happened in the UFC HW division as impressive. It has never had a dominating champ like we've seen in boxing or in Pride. At this point it's like a guy with a 3" dick saying he's better than a guy with a 2" dick. Yes, but still not impressive.

A: Can't compare MMA to boxing straight up, look at the records of most dominant Boxing champs compared to MMA, those lighter gloves but additional dimensions add an extra level of uncertainty and make it far harder to dominate.
B: Pride was a different era, just look at Fedor now.

Well actually the Pride HW belt was only defended 3 times by Fedor. Every fight in between those 3 defenses weren't for the title. Only the 3rd Nog, Cro Cop, and Mark Hunt fights were for the belt. Still impressive that he went undefeated for so long. Pride just wasn't really that big on defending the belt

3 successful UFC HW Titles Defenses = 3 consecutive Super Bowls
