Aaron Pico overrated?

His credentials and potential are spectacular, he is a new fighter fighting other new guys. He is a green fighter fighting other green fighters

Are you stupid? Do you think he should be fighting for a belt his first match up ever?

After getting demolished in his debut it only makes sense that they build him up.

Kenny here,

Aaron Pico is still a young prospect. Give it some time TS do not rush greatness.

Overrated as a prospect? Not at all

Plenty of great fighters lost their debut or an early fight

not at all
he lost his first match against a bigger and way more experienced guy and rebounded nicely since
he still is super promising imo

He looked 2 weight classes smaller then the guy he fought in his debut.

He has good wrestling, power and decent boxing.

He already has the skills to be top 10 and with a little more experience and development hes going to be a force

I don't see what's so good about him.

Got murked in his debut and demolished two cans.
So an 0-1 fighter going against a 7-3 fighter and a 12-3 fighter and winning is "demolishing cans"

Is he overrated? Noone's calling him a world beater, just an interesting young prospect with a well rounded skillset.

Plus who doesn't love seeing a body shot KO?

Ummm no. The guy in your picture is overrated though. He robbed Castillo, cherry picked fights and refused to fight manny when he was at his best

He's beaten Zain Rethorford twice and lost the Olympic spot at 19 by tie break. He'll never face a wrestler even close to him his entire career.

It's too soon to even be rated, but I see potential in him.

he definitely fucked up in his first fight. complete rookie mistake against a dude (Zach Freeman) who is far better than everyone thought.
the two guys Pico's beaten since haven't been amazing talents, but he's finishing them in impressive fashion ... plus he moved down to 145.
overall, Pico is probably better than expected, it's just that he lost his debut in a major way. but it was a bad judgement call by a kid who had literally zero pro cage time. now that's he's been in there a bit, he'll start to make better and better decisions in the fight.
wouldn't be surprised if Bellator gives him favorable matchups to the point where he's like 8-1 or 9-1 before giving him tougher competition.
Bellator likes to bring along talent super slowly and show them off, and Pico is only 21.
