Seems like the wrong direction to me.I don't think it's the case that women are viewed as objects more so than before, but that they are active participants in this more so than before. Better stated, the double standard between men and women has all but vanished. It's the obvious result of erasing gender roles.
I honestly don't really see that many men posing in their underwear in front of their mirrors and posting it on social media or getting gang banged in the bathroom.
I mean, when I see women engaging in this sort of activity, I don't think "Wow, what a wonderful example of feminine empowerment." I think "lol what a dumb slut. Maybe I'll beat off to her pic."
