Social ‘Don’t get sick. It’s too expensive’: medical debt is putting more Americans in financial crisis

Meanwhile government is printing your dollar into oblivion and taxing you on top of it to subsidize Israel and Ukraine. That's not even mentioning their usual standard cronyism when it comes to the military industrial complex, the moneychangers, etc.

Before anyone comes in and says it...no socialised health care isn't the cure (although I wouldn't trade the NHS for the American model)

Seems like Americans are getting hit from all angles. General health, mental health and healthcare costs.

It's not black and white.

More government regulation could put a ceiling on absurd healthcare company fees and the symbiotic relationship of hospitals price fixing (at highly inflated rates) their services.

As a percentage of our GDP, the U.S. spends the most on healthcare and the most on fees for intermediaries on healthcare transactions, aka bureaucrats and their bosses who make money on sending you the bill.

I’ll be a Repo Man.

Taze one of you pudgy fuckers in the balls and take your unpaid insulin pump right there in an elevator

It's awful. Take care of your health folks because paying medical costs is almost as stressful as the illness itself.

The average diet for Americans is atrociously bad. People drink soda in place of water. Eat candy and processed trash that amounts to low dose poison.

The immune system has to rid you of all of the chemical additives and such, which strains your entire system. If you think of it as your own personal army, which it is, doing so is like overworking them and throwing at them enemies that they shouldn't have to be fighting and dying against.

The addiction to that stuff is crazy.

The American diet is a diet of death. It's all chemicals. The world thinks we are all fat and sick. Which is mostly true.

Yea, people need to put down the junk.....but they wont. It would take a miracle to turn things around.

It also doesn't help that our health agencies (FDA, AMA, etc) are all corrupt, having sold out to big business interests.

All you need to know about American Health Care, is Pfizer gave both Trump and Biden millions in donations. They dont care who wins, because they own everyone.
The only way you could ever fix the health care problem is ban campaign funds but that will never happen, so hopefully you dont blow all the money you saved up when you get sick in your old age.

GOP has a huge plan that they have been working on, patience…
same as the democrats huge plan, making sure that donors from big pharm, donors from health insurers, donors from conglomerate facilities keep funding their campaigns.

Meanwhile the health insurance companies are making close to a billion dollars in profit every fucking week.

Yup. Most folks haven't heard of the Surgery Center of Oklahoma, which is unique in that it's cash only and no insurance is accepted. They have a posted list of prices for all their procedures, and in most cases that price is somewhere around 20% of what it costs in other hospitals. 20%. 1/5th of the regular cost. That's the kind of cost savings which is possible if we get rid of the health insurance racket. Go after the price fixing and other anti-competitive practices in the pharmaceutical and medical supply field and that cost drops even more, you could likely get healthcare cost down to around 10% of what it currently is, and at that point the federal budget balances out AND we all have affordable healthcare.

But we can't do that since healthcare is something like 20-25% of GDP, which is about what the banking & financial sector is worth. No way in hell an industry with that much money in it is going to willingly give it up.

Trump isn't wrong though, Obamacare does suck unless you're dirt poor. Otherwise you're stuck paying hundreds, if not thousands in premiums in addition to thousands of dollars in deductibles. It's a fucking joke.

So,
You’re saying the Dems at least have a plan GREAT!

What is the GOPs?

Healthcare costs in this country have been an embarrassment for decades. Decades. It's a broken system, but it's working as designed. Enrich the insurance companies, enrich the medical industry, enrich the pharmaceutical companies, and bankrupt the lower and middle class.

But cue the retards coming in and blaming...let's see here...Israel? Sure, why not. Blame everything except the actual problem.

I just said it was the same plan, lie, cheat, pretend like smelling roses. How's obamacare working out? as I thought.

how about cutting down intellectual property ownership to 1 year? campaign funds can be channeled via other methods. no other way than to actively fight against big pharm and big insurance.

shrink insurance mandates, I'm not talking about forcefully putting people on insurance, but insurance coverage. Why is it mandated that I be covered for trans surgery or alcohol abuse recovery? cover less and it will be less expensive, all of the mandatories is why it costs so much, like 20 goddamn shots before going to public school, or prescription drugs? if they didnt cost so goddamn much, we wouldnt need coverage. Some of the coverage, people wouldnt even have a clue how to access..... over coverage is a thing, no different than getting a combo meal at a fast food restaurant when all you wanted were fries.

I'm all for individual accountability but when the population obesity rate is this high I believe it is a systemic issue. Junk food is advertised everywhere. It's pretty simple. Eat real food. Do not eat processed food that much.
