I don’t know if he has it in him mentally to go on another run back to contention after this loss.

He got throughly worked in this fight. In his last loss against Yair, I think that took a lot out of him mentally too.

He’s still better than most of this division but I think his time is up. He’s been fighting since the WEC days, most of those guys from that era are on their way out.

    Potentially sure

I'm sure he's not going out with this loss though He's fighting someone either Kattar, Zabit , or Holloway (drools)

He didn't look like the "not" zombie. He was complacent and never pushed the pace. Funny enough he probably would have done better as the zombie who just throws haymakers and doesn't care what happens

He looked very gun shy tonight, it was odd. Big props to T-City though, he looked really sharp.

I really think he's the type of fighter who performs brightly when the crowd is there. Perhaps that could have played a factor here against Ortega.

He was a counter fighter to a fault tonight and Ortega made him pay for it. If he went zombie mode he may have got finished, but he definitely would have had a better chance of winning.

Hopefully he works on feints and setting up his entries into the pocket more because people are timing him now. More kicks from range would be nice, too.

He said he doesn't remember rounds 3,4, and 5 and he is ashamed of how the fight went. He will be back, but there's no easy fights at the top of 145lbs.

How the hell is this rumored if it's only coming from a 6'4 chiseled sherdogger? Is there anything else backing this rumor?

Zombie is the kind of fighter who feeds off the crowd, the cheers, the collective energy

He was outclassed tonight, and that's fine. You win some, you lose some.

KZ is the kind of man who will go back to the drawing boards and come back stronger.

Damn that doesn't sound good. I'm guessing the spinning back elbow concussed him or something?

Both these fights he was getting out landed across the match and both he was punished when he tried to get more aggressive via an elbow.

I'd imagine getting rocked like that makes any kind of attempt as readjusting tactics away from your normal game much harder.

Something tells me that he's not the same and didn't recover after that elbow. Kinda like TJ/Barao 1. I think he got exhausted of being emotionally invested in this fight with all the trash talk incident which is really unlikely of him. He needs to make a statement and win his next fight impressively to get back in there. And if there's a guy who proved he can come back from a disappointing loss, it's KZ.
